Is Of-Counsel to FTMR. Ms. González-Acosta’s main areas of practice are intellectual property and labor, as well as, general civil and commercial litigation. Before joining FTMR in July of 2006, Ms. González-Acosta worked as a law clerk at the Appellate Court of the Commonwealth of Puerto Rico and as a law clerk and attorney at Porro-Vizcarra Law Offices.
Ms. González-Acosta obtained a Bachelor, magna cum laude, in Public Communications from the University of Puerto Rico in 1999, where she made the Dean’s List during her four years and a Juris Doctor degree, cum laude, from the Inter American University School of Law in 2003. Ms. González-Acosta obtained a Law Masters Degree in Intellectual Property on May 2006 from the George Washington University School of Law. Her relevant course work during this time included, among others, Copyright Law, Trademarks and Unfair Competition, Patent, Licensing Intellectual Property Rights, Entertainment Law, Communications Law and Policy, Art Law, and Cyberspace Law.
Ms. González-Acosta is admitted to practice in the Commonwealth of Puerto Rico and is a member of the Puerto Rico Bar Association.
